Treasurer’s Report:

CA Employee Holiday Gift of $200 was presented by the deadline.

All members will have the opportunity to vote on the proposed budget (attached) for 2011 at the General Meeting, November 29.

Membership fee schedule will remain the same.

$225 was approved to help pay for the new mural on the Complex Wall. The mural will feature the six clubs that use the area, and the CA as well as the featured clubs will pay $2700. A local artist will execute his/her design. The donation was budgeted for 2011.

Membership Report:

The Treasurer reported two new members since the Sept. meeting.

Nomination Chairman John Paulhus’ report:

Joining the chairman are Linda Smith, Fred Esposito, Jack Baytos and Tim Pashalliu.

Elaine Davis and Dave Mohl have offered to serve on the future board. Three more additional board members are being sought.

A minimum of five candidates is needed to fill vacant board positions.

Interested members, please contact the chairman or one of the committee members.

The social coordinator position will be redesigned so that one assistant is responsible for the Valentine Party, another assistant for the first General Meeting, and a third for the final General Meeting.

Thank you, Fun Day chairperson, who has offered to continue in 2011.

2010 Events:

Fun Day will be held November 20^th. Cost: $5.00

General Meeting: November 29^th, 4 p.m. Florida Room, followed by potluck and music. The TA will provide beverages and the meat dish as in the past. A quorum is needed. All members are encouraged to attend to vote on the five board members and the budget.

November 16^th, EB meeting, Sandpiper Room 1:30 p.m.

The CA is publishing a booklet of 50^th Anniversary events. Included will be the TA’s special addition of Fun Day, Saturday, November 19, 2011 as part of the 50^th Anniversary of Sun City Center Year-long Celebration. In addition to the traditional Fun Day activities and picnic, a 50^th Anniversary 50+ doubles competition will be held. Each foursome will pay a $2.00 entry fee, 50 cents per player. The challenge will take place on courts 2 and 3. Elimination occurs when a team fails to keep the ball in play for a minimum of 50 strokes. The foursome who logs the highest number of strokes after 50 wins $50. More information will be provided closer to the date.
